Frequently asked questions

Yes! I offer a free 15-minute consultation for prospective clients. This is an opportunity to briefly connect, ask questions, learn more about my approach, and determine whether working together may be a good fit.

Do you offer consultations?

I primarily provide individual therapy and also work with couples who are participating in sex therapy.

Do you work with individuals or couples?

Do you offer In-person or virtual therapy?

I offer both! I currently work with clients in person or via telehealth in South Carolina.

Sessions are typically scheduled weekly or bi-weekly, although the frequency may vary depending on your needs, goals, and preferences.

How often are therapy sessions scheduled?

The current rates are:

Initial Intake & Assessment (50 minutes) - $150

Individual & Sex Therapy (50 minutes) - $130

Payment is due at time of service.

How much does a therapy session cost?

I am an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly.

If your insurance plan provides out-of-network mental health benefits, I can provide a superbill upon request. You can then submit the superbill to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

Because insurance plans vary, I recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to ask about your out-of-network benefits, reimbursement rates, deductibles, and any other requirements.

A superbill is a document containing information about the services you received that you can submit to your insurance company when seeking potential out-of-network reimbursement.

I do not guarantee that your insurance company will reimburse you. Coverage and reimbursement depend on your individual insurance plan.

Yes. I have limited sliding-scales spaces.

Currently full.

Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule, I ask that you provide at least 24 business hours' notice.

Appointments canceled with less than 24 business hours' notice, as well as missed appointments or no-shows, are subject to the full session fee.

This policy helps honor the time reserved for you, as it can be difficult to offer that appointment time to another client on short notice.

Under federal law, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the expected cost of your care.

Because therapy is an individualized process, the total number of sessions and overall cost will vary depending on your needs, goals, and progress.

Whether you are a new or current client, you will receive a Good Faith Estimate reflecting the agreed-upon fee for your therapy sessions.

Receiving a Good Faith Estimate does not obligate you to begin or continue services with Space Within Counseling or with any other provider.

Space Within Counseling is located in Greer, South Carolina. Our office is affiliated with The Center for Sexual and Relational Health, and you will see The Center for Sexual and Relational Health's name on the office door when you arrive.
